Annie Godward Annie Kennett, later Godward, (1865-1946) who travelled out to Paraguay in 1872 with her mother and step-father. The family arrived in Rosario in November 1873. Annie left Argentina in April 1878, after the death of her mother. She returned to England, later marrying and bringing up a family.
Annie's Diary Two sample pages from the account written by Annie Kennett at the age of 17 years. In it she tells of the hardships suffered by her family and other settlers from England during a year spent trying to establish themselves in the Paraguayan jungle.

The Family of Thomas Godward Thomas Godward and his family in later years. He married Annie's mother, Jane, in 1868, following the death of Richard Kennett. After Jane's death, he married Isabel Gillies and by her had three sons, Charles, John and Daniel.
